I cannot recommend The Wool Inn enough! The ladies there are so friendly and supportive of everyone who walks in the doors, even if they haven't seen you in ages. I shopped here twice in early 2017, moved away, and then moved back again in late 2019, and they somehow still remembered me!
The range of yarn they sell is excellent, from your basic workhorse yarn to really fancy hand-dyed skeins. They manage to fit an impressive amount of yarn in the shop! They also have a really good variety of tools for knitting, crochet, embroidery, tapestry and weaving. I've never been disappointed in a purchase from them. So many yarn shops can be really judgmental and uncomfortable, but I have never experienced this from any of the staff (or customers!) here. It's just such a really friendly, positive space. I had a bit of trouble colour matching for a project last year, and they really helped me to get it perfect.
There's a good reason why this shop has been around for decades - it's their fabulous variety, reasonable prices, friendly staff, and genuine care for the fibre artists of Western Sydney.
Truly 5⭐️ service and range. Anita and her girls are so welcoming and go out of their way to help They are so passionate, knowledgeable and talented. Opening on weekends and later on Thursdays is so handy. Did you know it’s been around for 50 years? Long live craft and The Wool Inn!!
Anita & Bess are the best ever. Both are so so helpful with advise support & help with any issue regarding my craft.
Once again the girls have surprised me.
A couple of months ago I was after a colour in Snuggly DK.. I was disappointed but bought the lighter colour.
The blanket has turned out beautiful, I don’t think I would have been as happy with the darker one anyway..
As I had wool left over I decided to use this to make a cot blanket but did not have enough. So decided to put on the back burner..
BUT.. The same day I received a call from Anita to say that colour had come in, I was delighted as I could use the 2 different pinks and white to make the blanket..
Thank you Anita and the lovely ladies at The Wool Inn🧶
Customer service was above and beyond!
Just start to learn how to crochet and wanted to check the store out.
The crochet needle I was starting out with from a kit was too small for a starter and the lady at the store not only help me to find the perfect size. She went above and beyond to help me find the perfect brand, letting me actually give it a good feeling.
I'm currently in love with my new crotchet needle and have been happily crocheting squares every night perfecting my tension. No doubt I'll come back when I start a crotchet project!
Called the store yesterday morning to make an order for my daughter. (She’s just starting learn how to crochet) spoke to Anita on the phone and she helped me so much with the order what do I need to choose for my teenage daughter. Made a couple order for myself for my project too😊. Received the order the next day. Very quick delivery and helpful staff. Very recommended!!
Thank to Anita and the team!
Best little yarn shop around. The ladies know their stuff. shop but is jam packed with anything and everything. Brands we all know and love that are no longer stocked at the big stores. I am no longer buying from the big stores and I am only buying local now.
So much yarn and fantastic choice! The staff there are super nice and very knowledgeable! If your passing by, and knit or crochet, you should definitely stop by!
